RIP - Rider down in Katy

Just happened here in Katy. This cross street always warrants plenty of caution - be it Rider or Cager. Sad. Best wishes for the family.

Well, honestly before I even saw the kids video my first thoughts were he was more than likely speeding on a road like that which probably has a 40 mph limit

The most concerning to me is the lack of value in someones life, I guess the kids in the video haven't experienced it first hand yet.

Not those kids fault the guy was speeding on a road which seems to be in a nieghborhood and i believe i heard a school of some sort close by so the speed limit had to be at max 40 and the kids were saying 90, it was hard enough to knock the wheel off the car so he was moving

amazing how the cause of the accident is being presumed to be that the rider was speeding. I guess it had nothing to do with the driver of the car (18yo) pulled in front of the bike.

Keep in mind that we're only hearing one side of the story and that's from the person who is still alive and could be charged if he caused the accident. Does anyone really expect the driver of hte car to say "yeah, girlfriend was leaning in my lap and when I started painting the back of her throat I turned in front of the bike. I was totally distracted and not paying attention."

There's more than one side of the story out there. Just gotta look for it.

Uh, if you bothered to check the video, none of the witnesses were in the car nor had a dog in this hunt, but yeah, I never haul on any of my liter bikes because it's just not done nor do any of my friends.

A driver's not going to assume that someone might be doing 80+ mph on a 40 mph posted street, and yeah, the driver might not even have seen the bike, but hauling contributed to this bullshit.
