harley riders crack me up sometimes.

so i get off work at around 10:30 tonight and head to the local watering hole called SCOOTERS. those of you from pearland know what place im talking about. its only the second time ive been there, and the first time on the bike. just wanted to have a nice cold brew before i got home. i pull in, and theres a couple of guys standing around their bikes (harleys) conversing. soon as i pull in, turn off the bike and take off my brain bucket, i can hear the conversation. one of the guys has a trike and bragging about this, this and that. he notices me start to walk in and says "see those crotch rockets? this will put those to shame. TO SHAME!" and right about then one of his buddies walks up and says "sure will!". theyre not looking AT me, but i know theyre saying it loud enough just for me to hear. im wallking in laughing to myself, and was half tempted to tell them to put their money where their mouth is, but common sense got the better of me. drunk harley boys are funny.:laughing6:laughing6

Yeah, I heard that when I went to the Bad Dawgs showroom off of Westheimer and Hwy 6 a year or so ago. Just went with my Dad to show him what some of the custom bikes were doing these days, and to see what they're all about. The sales guy was in there trying to sell one to a guy in his early 30's and said that the bikes there would beat a crotch rocket. I about died laughing and he gave me this ugly scowl of a look. Later on he came up to me and asked if I needed any help... and said No, thanks, that I knew what I was looking for and a bullsh*tt*ng salesman wasn't one of them. Later the guy that was looking for a bike asked me if what he said was true, and I just said yeah, if they're geared for the first 60ft with NOS they are.

Good on ya for being the bigger man.

Cool harley maddness

My brother rides a 1200 harley that he's still making payments on, but when I purchased my bike he found out and had to call me laughing. Then I explained that I owned my bike and did not have half the problems. he's no longer laughing.

HAHAHAHAHA

be patient, your time will come.

mine was at 2:30AM on barker cypress. pulled up to a light with some MAD-CHROME HOARLY DAVIDSON. anyways he tells me to "get a real bike" and i said "im not the one with the shaking bike" (it was shivering at the sight of my R6 :laughing6). light goes green and he was already in gear so he punches it, i could tell cause his elbow was pointed straight down. i clutch in, put it in gear, and get movin. by the time i was at 5k rpm he had to shift into 2nd and i caught up to him then.(mind you at half throttle). i get to 9K and punch it, wheel comes up, and i leave him in the dust. he didnt stand a CHANCE. anyways we meet at the next light and he asks "do you think wheelies are 'cool'?", i ignored it and asked if his wristwatch leaked oil too.

next time youre bored and come up to a harley on the highway, put your feet on the sliders and casually pass them. it really pisses 'em off

in reality thats the first "negative" experience with a harley guy. ive come up next to them several times at red lights and theyve always been friendly and shook my hand and such. but i guess at an ice house its a different story, lol.

your a moron
your point is either :

a. your brother got a bad deal
b. your brother is on the welfare and your not
c. your bike is made with plastic and cost less than half than the harley made of metal.
d. your bikes value will dwindle as the years pass, but the harley will always have some wannabe ready to drop decent cash and buy it used.
e. all of the above.

This is a great thread....more H/D stories please:laughing6

I have never been a fan of H/D. So here's my one story. Got out of bed about midnight b/c I couldn't sleep. Decided to take "Ole Yeller" for a night ride. So I guess I came to stop light then same time a bunch of bikers were leaving the Ice House. We all came to the stop light together and one guy said to me, "Hey, your bike must be scared of mine because it just turned yellow." I thought, "ok that was a pretty good line." Then I said, "your bike is the one shaking." He just shut up and took off when the light turned green. So I get the rpms up to 9K and hit it, throttle wheelie past the guy. We get to the next light and he's sarcasticly says, "that was cool little boy." I'm 33 so this guy obviously thinks sport bike are for the immature. He decided he was going to do a burn out and show me how real anoying a harley really is...we did...and ran off into the ditch. Ohhhh to have that on video...

My favorite memory is from long time ago.. and pretty sad from their point of view...

I was cruising a back road on my Seca 550.. not the quickest bike of it's time, when I came upon a group of 4 or 5 Harleys. These were the stripped down hot rods of the time, not the loaded down saddle bag toting ones we see these days.. I was biding my time waiting on clear road and I guess they noticed me in the mirror and did their imitation of pegging the gas. Being much younger and more brave than today, I said "ya, right" and proceeded to pass them as they attempted to run off. I felt bad for them at them time for being a bit embarrased by the little 550, but they kinda asked for it..

Good times...
