We have done some tire pressure changes for cold and for am racing, but that is usually from feedback given by the tire vendor and what the bike does during practice.

The new track has AWESOME traction all day long. It is a very similar surface (composition wise) to the Houston track, and the tires wear very cleanly and stick like glue all day. The only thing I didn't like about the new track surface was the dust/ dirt that is on the track sometimes (until the bikes clear it).

Anyone is welcome to ride around with me, I will be feeling my way around in the morning after so much down time. I need to re-introduce myself to riding that track, and acquaint myself to my new bike

I think somebody is putting me to work in the morning.

I will try to sneak out onto the old track with you guys every once in a while, i need to warmed up for the mock race!

the short track is awesome tho, no doubt the grip is good from start to finish, nice, smooth and fast. it has a couple of pretty tech. turns on it, you guys riding it should love it.

The short track is an absolute blast. I was there for the very first trackday there. The first two turns are awesome, but they can take a while to get used to. You can carry so much more speed through there than you think. Beware of the uphill left hander at the bottom of the hill, it's off cambered and you're rear will slide all over the corner exit if you're getting on it... also, the uphill blind left hander that falls back down and to the left can REALLY catch you off guard. I watched a dude go straight there and got some good air on his Triumph last year.

Have fun guys... wish I could make it out there with you.

If I can get myself sorted out by the end of the day, I'll be a "rabbit" in that mock race too. It's hellafun!

just take it easy and you're be fine level 5, and don't wreck out on the mock race, just take it easy like I did ( comfortable level ). This gixxer 600 is driving me nuts, I need a 636 so carbonR1 stop messing with me on the straights

It takes a bit practice to get down the old track. You might wonder how the the experts get the times they make. You can get humility shown very fast on that track. I always leave there learning a few new tricks from the fastest guys. Wish I could be there with yall.

Tony...

With all the off-camber turns, this track will teach you throttle control, or it will eat up you turn ot highside you off the bike. There are a few blind turns(depending on which direction ya'll are running), so once you learn the track, just remember as you're building up speed that the track is still there, and don't phucker up and let off the throttle!

Any other questions... I'll be in my office
