Hmm, I know the new section is shorter, soo maybe thats what they mean. I think I remember hearing that they would'nt race on the new section due to safety issues, soo you'll probably be racing on the old 1.7 miles section.

The long track is both the new and old sections run together.
The CMRA only runs the old course.

When you sign up for A Novice they will point you in the right direction. Hopefully, I am going to talk to the track out guys and see if they can keep you confused until I get out there.

Also, I think I will be working in the corners for Tom in the morning this round. So, see if Macman will let Romeo go out with you for a session in the morning and show you the lines.

Tony,
Another tid bit of info on Cresson. The track sucks in the morning unless there is a good amount of sun on it. Take it real easy early on and check your lines and reference points out. We have all weekend to ride and you only have to show off the goods during your sprints.

Regarding the track and traction, while it is a bit slick (especially when wet), there is plenty of traction there to ride. We've raced in the mornings during cold weather, and while it wasn't the best traction, it was good enough to go pretty fast on.

We have done some tire pressure changes for cold and for am racing, but that is usually from feedback given by the tire vendor and what the bike does during practice.

The new track has AWESOME traction all day long. It is a very similar surface (composition wise) to the Houston track, and the tires wear very cleanly and stick like glue all day. The only thing I didn't like about the new track surface was the dust/ dirt that is on the track sometimes (until the bikes clear it).

Anyone is welcome to ride around with me, I will be feeling my way around in the morning after so much down time. I need to re-introduce myself to riding that track, and acquaint myself to my new bike
