Any interest in doing a couples group ride?

Just curious how many ride with their SO, either two up or two bikes? I know there have been a couple tries at all girl rides, so let's try something different. My SO likes to go with, as long as I chill... :confused2 , so I figure there are some more gals out there that don't want to ride at warp speed with the guys?

Does a group thing sound like something you'd like to do?

Lastly, where to? Ride out to lunch, or just ride? Or out to Bastrop and do picnic in the park? Set limits by popular vote for speeds and distance...

Post up so we can get a head count, if it sounds like something you would like.....

Solyjr and I were talking about maybe taking our SO out to the forest and having a picnic type event. (We were going to let them drive there and then eat... then take them out on the bikes at cruising speeds only, though...)

I have 14 days a month off, so I can go anytime. But it will probably have to be a weekend for most folks

So, Sat for the majority?

I'll toss this out... along the lines of the drive out and meet to ride.. maybe someone volunteer the car to carry the gals that don't want to ride, and that way the have the option? Dunno, just would be more fun with just the bikes.

How about another option, for those that have girls that don't want to ride... we can set up the drive out and picnic deal, with the option to give "demo" rides.. some of us are old farts who don't scare the womans.. at least not too much..

course once you get them on the back the first time, you'll be stuck carrying them every where!

It is neat to get the one in your life involved with your hobbies..

Once I got past all the "there is no way I am getting on the back with you", and the "you scare me's", and finally the head shaking and "I don't want to knows" when I mention the guys rides, we get along fine!!

I still get the head shaking and wave off when I take off down a curvy road, but she is getting better... and I always wait down the road somewhere... :icon_bigg

Schedule permitting, I'm in for this. We've done a picnic at Bastrop/Beuscher and it was a very nice setting. If some of the ladies are timid about getting on the back with the guys, I can offer to take one for a spin with me.

We may want to consider going off the regular, beaten path.. I know there are lots of folks on the South and East side that are tired of riding all the way over to the NW side all the time.

Will study more on this and start looking for something "different"

Not "go to Galveston and park on the beach"

South and East siders, offer up ideas on routes? I actually may know of something to wander over Louisiana way...

Think my comment may have caused some confusion... my wife loves to ride! She just can't ride a very long time, due to her Rheumatoid Arthritis, so... she would be better off if she drove (or rode with someone else in a cage) and then was able to ride with me once we hit the twisties (or the scenic route) that we planned on taking.

As a matter of fact, if it wasn't for the RA, I bet she'd be out there showin' off with some of you stunter guys.

But yes, Saturday would work great and I'm open to any of the routes...

Hey Squeaky, maybe we can actually meet instead of crossing paths on some lonely crossroads in Independence, Texas.
