Yes, my bike was new. It's an '04 but I bought it in '03. That's just what they told me, so I don't know. They told me since I didn't have proof of insurance then they couldn't put the sticker on but as soon as I got it, come back and they would do it free. I just didnt feel like going all the way back to College Station. Maybe they didn't know what the they were doing. :dontknow:

Lame, everything is up to date on my bike except inspection. If I get pulled over, I'll take it somewhere to get inspected. Go bark up someone else's tree.

well u do have to have insurance to get inspection and register. I alwasy thought on brand new bikes and cars you get 3 years inspection sticker comes liek that when it hits the dealer lot.

Not anymore, state realized they were losing out on a lot of money by giving those extra years. It's been reduced, I think new cars now get 24 months, new bikes get 12. :eh:

I thought that too but the manager of the dealership told me as soon as I get insurance then they can do the inspection. *I would have figured it was the same as cars but I guess not or at least at that dealership. *I got insurance the next day but just didn't feel like taking the bike back to College Station for free inspection. *Oh well, if I ever get pulled over for it, I'll go somewhere and get inspected.

you can put it anywhere you want, and it won't be a problem with me.
