250/300 at COTA

I just picked up a ninja 300 I'm going to use for the track. I'm signed up for cota in a couple of weeks and going to run my Ducati in L2 like I did last time, but I thought it might be fun to toss the 300 around that track for a session or so. It's completely stock (will change tires) and I know the top speed is only 100.

Do you think I'll be putting myself in danger with all the higher cc bikes blasting by or go out and give it ?

Go for it! I really dont see much of an issue other than the long straight, but as long as you are on line and predictable there shouldnt be any drama at all.

Rode my SV650S track bike there last year in L2, 2 up at the rear sprocket so I'm out of steam around 120mph. Had a of a good time without any issues. Instead of running the out of the motor down the back straight I would hold at 110 mph stay to the outside and stay out of the way. Now the front straight was perfect for the gearing. Loved T1 and T2 on a smaller bike. Oh yeah, helps not to get hurt by close passing, got passed a lot. Great time.

Ya, my concerns are with the 2 straights, but it should be easy for others to go around. I just hope T1 and T12 don't get hairy with others closing hard at 150 when i'm doing 98.
