Rent/borrow a compression tester from the local auto parts store and get us a good reading. A MX prepped quad has to run a kill switch at the track during sanctioned races, check there for loose/damaged/frayed wiring and make sure nothing has come loose. A mildly built motor in MX service shouldn't grenade within 5 hours of run time...

Thanks for all the help guys. Going to try and get the compression tester today. Closest auto parts is about 30 min away from me. I'll drain and ref lush the oil to. Can I flush with just any 10-40 ? And when I refill I'll get the Honda oil and filter

Also, if you had pump gas setting in the carb for a year, you're going to have to pull it and clean it.

Well got the quad fixed. Needed carb rebuild new stator valve adjustment and cam chain. It now runs great
