Daily Craig: What a night

It was Father's Day all right. My son came to the C & C Ranch to celebrate with me and the wife. I had earlier got a great note from my daughter and also got the update on grandgirl going to the Georgia LL finals.

Those of us in this state watched just about every sport the TV had to offer and we were 3 for 3 in the big rooting department. We brought the Astros home a winner, then got our guy Dustin Johnson to hoist the U.S. Open trophy (and watched his wife in that short skirt going up the stairs) and to top it off we were pulling for Cleveland.

Not since the big fire in Chicago had I rooted for three straight winners in the same day and night. My relatives from Ohio must have gone to the point of screaming every 10 seconds in the 4th quarter of the Cavs win. I haven't seen them for quite some time but I do remember how they lived and died with the sorry Cleveland franchises over the years. To have Lebron score a triple double and bring home the bacon from those snotty fans in the Bay Area was terrific. Of course, I was reminded by my sonny boy the Warriors only lost nine regular season games and ended up losing that many in the playoffs. One, and only one recorded by your not so fighting Rockets.

So, in summation, it was a great Sunday. We got some rain too. Of course, the dishes are still piled up and the grass needs mowing again, but in the scheme of things, so what. Since I am on a roll I predict the Astros will finally get to .500 on the home stand. With all this success I gotta buy a lottery ticket.
