Daily Craig: Almost vacation time

THE TEXANS are almost finished with their 3 day minicamp. Next is six weeks off, then the real training camp. I watched the news conferences or at least read the transcripts. I have learned quite a bit as we are about 88 days from week one in the NF-. Bill O'BRIEN IS THE HEAD COACH. You know that, but did you know he uses the word TON tons of times? He does. A ton is 2,000 lbs. I remember that from the year I had manual training in high school. A ton of progress and a ton of reps were how he used it in some sentences. JJ WATT also said the word ton in his interviews. JJ WATT MAKES A TON OF MONEY. Seriously, his paycheck weighs 2,000 pounds.

JJ said the big soccer game was wild Monday night. He couldn't believe how the fans threw beer when MEXICO scored. He figured the people tossing the expensive suds from the upper deck just ended up lousing up the green shirts worn by the TON OF FANS in front of them. JJ will spend his six week vacation in his native WISCONSIN. No doubt he'll lift tons of weight.

QB Brock "the touchdown doc" OSWEILER has made a ton of progress according to the coach. "He shows up early and leaves late." That might mean he would rather use the showers at NRG than at home. He saves tons of money that way. The team also has a new "sports science guy" who runs something called a CATAPULT SYSTEM. It measures how best to get the best from players. It also might mean what the fans want to use if the team doesn't make a serious playoff run. WE SHOULD HAVE TONS OF FUN with that.
