I.C.E. (In Case of Emergency)

Since I've seen a few wrecks on the rides I've been on lately and seeing the thread associated with other wrecks, I wanted to pass along something my 12 year old daughter was taught in school. It's called I.C.E.

With some many of us riding with people we may not know very well it is important to have some contact info readily availabe in the event of a serious accident. They are teaching middle school students to enter an emergency contact in their cell phones and label it I.C.E. for In Case of Emergency.

In the event a rider goes down hard, you can find their cell phone and call their emergency contact.

I have placed this in my phone and just thought it was practical and would help out in the event of a serious accident. Just thought I would share.

Always a good idea to have in your phone, and I like to get everyones info and put it on the route maps for everyone on group rides.

Plus if you crash hard enough, your cell might be damaged or lost.....

Patrick mentioned dog tags for the track; that is not a bad idea for anyone that likes to go out in the country as well.
