MotoGP 2016 Championship standings after Mugello
Reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo remains at the top of the standings
AFTER winning the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello, Jorge Lorenzo leaves Italy with a ten-point advantage over Marc Marquez in the Championship standings.
A hefty 25-points has ensured that the reigning World Champion remains on top ahead of the rest of the field with Marquez second and Rossi down in third with only 78-points, 37-points behind his Yamaha team-mate.
Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa is in fourth and Maverick Vinales, who has recently signed to join the Factory Honda squad, is in fifth only 7-points behind Pedrosa.
Alex Espargaro, team-mate to Vinales, is in sixth and 10-points behind, whilst his younger brother Pol Espargaro is right behind in seventh and only one-point separates the brothers.
Eugene Laverty is so far winning over the Brits in tenth whilst Bradley Smith is currently 12th, Scott Redding 17th and Cal Crutchlow 19th.
The next round takes place in two weeks' time in Barcelona for the Catalunya Grand Prix.
