That's the reason why they installed the red/yellow light running camera at most major intersection. Too many running red and yellow lights.
Glad you went on your instinct.

Find yourself an intersection with the camera and wait til it turns yellow and cross the intersection.

There's no law against running a "yellow" light.

Actually, if you enter the intersection after it turns yellow, I think there is a ticket.. will have to verify that.

Glad it wasn't you and your defensive riding saved you.

I hate runners. I witnessed an accident once where the guy running the light took off, I did remember the plate though and the cop was more than happy to follow up with it.

I'm not kidding 3-4 pairs of shoes scattered around the intersection and along both side of 1960

You will be ticketed for running yellow light. I got a couple of them from the camera and once by the cop. It is so confusing with the legality of the yellow light.

actually the law isnt running the yellow light, its that if any part of your vehicle (and that means even the tailpipe) is in the intersection as the light turns red its a ticketable offense

The timing on the yellow lights is supposed to enable you to stop in time before the red;

Providing you are at the posted speed, proper following distance, good brakes, etc. If it goes yellow when you are in in the intersection , it should be timed to allow you to clear it before going red.

This is in a perfect world of course, let me know if you come across that planet, would you? LOL!
