No sidewalks out here so don't have to worry about that. Plus I guarantee the chief of.police wouldn't care as I have talked with him as kids played in the middle of the street right in front of us.

Sometimes it's as simple steps as that.

FYI just because a law exists doesn't mean it is enforced.

LOL. You stick to that, I will teach my kids that the street = death. Hopefully neither of us will figure out who is wrong.

Seriously though, dont be "that guy" that's caught up in "the good ole days".

I agree...streets are dangerous but there are still places around that kids are relatively safe on the streets still.

With all that said all my land is fenced in so I should need to worry about it too much till my kids start hopping the fence...by then they will be able to handle themselves

I don't know what they teach up there at Harvard Law, but where I'm from, just because a law is selectively enforced does not grant one a license to willfully break it.

Depending on the street I have no issues with kids playing in the street. Everything from tag ( you never see kids out playing tag anymore. That was a game, or even better freeze tag... ah...fun times... but I digress) football to baseball to pedal bike racing. However if the community gets together and decides or elects a representative who determines it should not be done then the residents should either honor that or change the rules not blow it off.

If the community says hey we don't want you do wheelie your dirt-bike down the street for whatever reason be it the optics, noise, and or diminished control time you have in case of something unexpected, either get the community to approve your antics or honor it. You certainly don't do it in someone else's hood.

I agree with everything you said...as long as the community has some sort of agreement it should all be good.

I don't think any community would allow people to do wheelies up and down their streets.
