Top 2017 QB recruit decommits from Texas A&M

Five-star QB recruit Tate Martell from Las Vegas announced on Twitter late Wednesday night that he was re-opening his recruitment and de-committing from Texas A&M.

His tweet apparently prompted Aggies receivers coach Aaron Moorehead then sent out a series of tweets questioning loyalty. He also tweeted, " People act like the truth is all the sudden a bad thing. Society is too sensitive. Y'all boys soft."

His series of tweets led to other recruits to respond. WR recruit Mannie Netherly tweeted that in light of the tweets from a "future coach", he was de-committing from Texas A&M also.

Also 5-star receiver Tyjon Lindsey re-tweeted Martell's tweet and said, "News I've been waiting for, Let's continue our duo."

Thursday morning, Moorehead sent out a tweet apologizing for his "impromptu comments on social media" and that he needed to better."

He apologized to Coach Sumlin and the Aggie family.
