A couple words for my GSXR's charging system

YOU!!

20160424 013352 zpspal536si

That was $350 I didn't have laying around to spend. Replaced it with a Rick's stator and Mosfet R/R and moved it so it could get better air flow. It is charging right now so I can test it in the morning. This was the most invasive work I have ever done on a motorcycle. On the plus side, I found out it has a K&N filter already installed. Just need a cleaner kit now, its kinda nasty

Glad it didn't leave me stranded on the side of the road either. It was so bad that it wouldn't stay running.

No, it really wasn't. The biggest was getting the rubber seal to stay in place while I reinstalled it

This makes me want to stay away from Suzuki even more now, and gives me more to talk on my buddy who likes suzuki streetbikes more then any other make and has never owned a bike.

I had a gsxr750 with 60k miles on it. Didn't have one issue with the charging system.

Why? Because after 10 years an electrical part gave out? Stator was the only issue i ever had in 26k miles on my GSXR, and havent had an issue in 16k on my Busa

Dont know, I had already swapped mine out for a brembo before it could have gone bad....but the GSXR has been gone for 5 years.

No issues on the busa.....had a recall on the regulator/rectifier, but it was still working fine when i took it in.

I only ever had the SET valve cause issues, but i disabled it and pulled everything off after about the third month of ownership.

Done did that about 2000 miles ago. I have close to 19,000 on it now, and this is the first thing I have actually had to fix on it, so I'm not too upset
