Last Minute Hill Country

I am headed to Canyon Lake to camp and hit the hill country on the bike. This is a last minute change of plans and I am just trying to salvage some of my preparation and time off that I had for another longer trip. I plan on leaving sometime soon after a decent lunch and I have yet to determine what camp site I am going to be at when I get there. Anyone is welcome to join for either the camping or riding. I have my helmet wired for my Sena so feel free to text me or call me if you are headed my way. I plan on staying till at least Monday.

I want to go riding Saturday and/or Sunday morning, I stay on the north side of town by six flags. I could meet you in Boerne, that would be a great meet up point and the twisties are not too far from there

I ran into a Honda who liked to goose it on the straightaways and park it in the turns.

I should have passed him but this was my first time ever going through here and I was still a little uncertain of the route/road. My battery died before I left and thus missed my close encounter with a buzzard. The bird came within inches of my helmet; it would have been exciting to watch.

There was a group of guys camping about a hundred yards away from me that was running the rapids while I was there. They had one guy rupture an artery in his leg from hitting it on a rock in the river. A second guy was almost drowned on the river that same day. No thanks, I think I will pass on the kayaking.

Im thinking about running up there for a weekend sometime in May/June, I am not sure of my schedule yet, but I need to get back out there and run them with a little more spirit this time. It has to be sometime in this timeframe because I move to Florida at the end of June.
