I broke collarbone racing bicycles.
It was a clean break so they would t pin it.
I had to deal with it for a long recovery.

My dad was taken down by a Rottweiler in 1996 on my old VFR750. He broke his right leg and injured the pup as well, both survived. I took the bike afterwards, fixed it up and rode it for 2 years. It was a great learning bike and we named it Cora, after the dog that took my dad out.

I hit a small dog once but didn't go down. Do you guys think a dog that small made him go down, or was it the input from the handlebar/brakes from the rider that caused him to go down?

rider 2 was non contact ??? ...too fast or too much brake or too close to rider 1 ???....in any case rider 2 may not be the best rider but he's got great hand and feet skills or he'd be dead

It's hard to tell, looks like a combination of both the dog and the initial hard braking. The minute the dog ran out it was destined to go bad for someone. That second guy was quick as , jumping out of the tractor trucks way! Where was this? Looks like some familiar bikes, especially the white supermoto with bronze wheels.

sorry .... i was wondering about rider 2....rider 1 probably lost it because of the dog AND brakes ( lockn the front?) ...video looks like a dog kill... rider 1 was most likely going down ... saw a small armadillo knock a level 1 guy off an r6 once...guys that hit animals and stay up have lucky charms

The dog I hit was a chihuahua. I just rolled right over him and kept rolling. We both survived. Maybe in this case the directional force from the dog made the wheel turn?

I have hit , and killed two dear . One in Leaky Tx @ 55 mph on a ZRX1200 , and the other in Virginia on White top mountain riding a DR650 @ 45 mph . Stayed up for both , but bike suffered damage . Doe one was 95 pounds , doe two was the size of a Tx Buck
maybe 140 / 150 . Both seen @ last second all that could be done was roll of throttle, keep it straight up and down hope for the best . Hitting an animal sucks , but one can never blame the animal as its wild , and not held to the same train of thought as a human . Eat , sleep , fight , flea , mate thats it in a nut shell . That dog was scared as . Wouldn't be a bit surprised if it was due to exhaust sounds from the bikes .
