not really, mostly push buttons i think. i've flown the simulator and the only real piloting is during the landing sequence

do you think a sober person would strap themself to 500K lbs of fuel? They gotta do something to take the edge off.

plus when the light that thing off, it's not really going anywhere else but up. It's not like driving a car or an airplane.

lol , dunno if you heard about the mcc lan almost crashing 2 missions ago that was me :(

had a bug in our software and our customer decided to try it out during flight ... needless to say when i came to work on monday i was getting grilled by everyone :laughing6

Don't forget Bldg 16 also has the SES foward cockpit. Much higher fidelity than the SMS ... however, no motion ... purely fixed base.

Building 7 contains human rated vacuum chambers used for crew training and certification of the space suits. Recently there was also a lot of testing done on shuttle tile repair methods.
