Daily Craig: Tax due? No thanks

Tax due? No thank you.

I have an extension so today is not meaningless, but nevertheless, I am not sending in any more money until later in the season. Later in the season is the Astros new theme. I am not worried mind you, but 3-7 doesn't do much for me. I have a couple of things to add to last night's 6-2 loss. George Springer lost a ball in the lights and the Royals didn't. George has also struck out 14 times this season. Losing pitches in the lights is not good for a hitter. Or a non-hitter. Carlos Gomez is on a track to have 0 homers and 0 RBI the rest of the season. But he did break up a potential no hitter, even if he has mostly been a no hitter. After just 10 games the team has had two three-game losing streaks. Who do they think they are, the Rockets?

Jose Altuve continues to be hot with another homer and another double. He appears to have stopped biting his finger nails, but I am not sure. I have to get back to you on that one. As TV analyst Geoff Blum would say (and he does every game) "nice piece of hitting."

Now to the big story. Forget the Astros and Rockets. It's the Texans schedule story. Five prime time games. Wow, really? One of those games is in Mexico City against the Raiders on a Monday night. Nothing says NF- more than playing at 7,000 feet in a foreign country. Oh, and another prime time game on Christmas Eve? The game should be over in time for midnight services. Try not to start the wave as you sit in the luxury suites at the church of your choice. Should the Texans lose that game go straight to confession. We heard what you said in the 4th quarter.
