Riding/Racing Schools?

okay.....i'm thinking about doing one of the riding/racing schools in november/december. anybody have personal experience with any of them?

i know andre3k (bj) took the keith code school, and i'm thinking of doing that one right now. just not sure if it's worth the $2250 for the 2 day camp. any input would be great.

any other riding/racing school that's worth a shot?

maybe some personal learnings with someone like sanchez or haner or Ty, i think they all do a 1 on 1 thing. Marcus Mcbain also but, he may have quit his public help for now until his track is complete

i think that the one that andrea took you MUST start from the first class which it may be a waste of money and time for you. I agree with Carbon, or maybe and advance school that see your skills and put you in the right level (Mladin school? lol)

check, your myspace mail i just replyed. and yes same as alrova......you gotta start in "level 1" but there was a guy when i went that was an amatuer club racer going at it good and he ended up learning too. what happens is you just have to unlearn what you are used to doing if it a bad habit.

it's all in the rider, not the engine.. :icon_bigg I've been passed up by Sv650's, R6's and 6RR's as well so, it's not only the engine size, it's the size of your skill level. Suzzete puts the hurtin on me with her SV650:eh: it's all about your corner speed. keep riding and you'll keep getting faster. i'm getting faster and faster with every trackday i ride

All the money in the world couldn't teach you how to ride fast if it is not meant to be. Keep the money and more trackday and practice should make you faster. Everyone has a limit, know it.

yeah, but how do you practice without being taught the right and wrong way to do things?

plus i was gonna tell my girlfriend we're going on vacation to california in the winter i'll tell her about the school after she's excited to go :laughing6. i've been told that even fast guys get faster after some instruction/coaching.

but once you done all you can on your own.....practice will only keep you at the same level, some coaching/instruction can help you raise the bar on your limits. that's what i'm going after, to push my limits a little higher

We were talking about how James overtook Tam for second place yesterday, and how powerful the 636 compared to other's 600. Mike was laughing and waving when he passed you(Tony). The conclusion is that Mike and James has an advantage over Tony and Tam because they are lighter. Get my point?

2k+ is just the begining, add in airfare, food, hotel and whatever else plus gf is alot. 2k of trackdays and maybe ty or someother guy would be really comparable.

Totally agreed.

If this is what Tony desires, he will get there but be prepared to pay the price.
