It only has to be lighted and at the rear of the vehicle. The law says nothing about 'vertical'.

we should put together a little book that has the laws for the most common reasons why we get pulled over so if a cop tries to wright you a BS ticket you can pull it out and show him which law and what excatly it states.......but then that might just him off, lol

If I remember correctly, it says that the inspection sticker must also be mounted 'near' the license plate, so if you were to nit-pick, the swingarm mounting would not suffice. Sorry to hear about the hassle Dan. You need to go riding with people that cannot afford to get pulled over, those are the only ppl that are guaranteed to not do stuff that will catch an officer's attention.

LETS GO RIDE!!

aaa yes i remember that in my Newbe/ squid days. he hit my kill switch. so at the next light i took off with his key and after that he never botherd any one again. i agree with every one else. don't ride with people like that. you draw to much bad attention to the sport bike rep.

hehehe we see eye too eye. i've had plenty do that and its funny when the partners are making fun of the cop trying to give you a citation. he asked to search my bike and i asked did he have a search warrent. after that he crossed his hands and started yelling at his partner.

Ins. + M endorsment plus calm words go a long way with cops.

Let's put one together. Last time I checked, he can't ticket you for "irritating a peace officer".

DOT does NOT require side markers (reflectors) on a motorcycle.

Maybe in some states they are required.

Rear side reflectors (red) are required. None required in the front. So I was half right.

Racer X is right about 'Illegal' turn signals though. If you replace with aftermarket they have to be DOT compliant.
