I found a really sweet deal on an old '85 model car that will need a bonded title.
Anybody here that can run a vin to make sure nothing hokey on it?

What I have run into that makes me nuts is when I buy a pro race bike that doesn't have a title. It only has a certificate of origin.

It's been bought straight off the manufacturing line with a frame (with VIN), engine, and in some cases it has the wire harnesses.

DOT still tries to force me to get a bonded title "in case it has a lien or is stolen". Ummm- that's impossible. You can only buy off the line with a complete payment for the value at that point in the manufacture, and how the 773H can you steal it off the line??
