Interesting video it sounded like the guy let off the throttle which caused the highside.

Yea that's what I was thinking...looking at the tire he was leaving on the road just before the high-side tells me he was hard on the throttle (or atleast thats what I think). At any rate, that's some scary chit...curious question though, could the amount, or lack thereof, of contact patch have been another contributing factor? I mean, he was over pretty far and more throttle, given a solid foundation upon which to apply all that force- a sufficient enough amount of tire on the road- would have just pushed him out further or so I would like to believe. Thoughts?

It's usually about contact patches when you are on a bike. How they are used is key to keeping the rubber side against the pavement.
