Downtown Houston prepares for Final Four weekend

Final Four mania has taken over Houston, especially in the heart of the city.

As thousands of fans rush to Houston, they're not only coming for the games -- they're also here for the party.

Crews are busy at the George R. Brown Convention Center and Discovery Green Park preparing for what will be a Texas-sized party.

"It's very fun," Final Four fan Patti Noyes said.

During the Final Four Fan Fest attendees can shoot hoops, get player autographs and try new things.

"They get free tickets if they're younger, so they get to go and play and do different sports that they've never tried like lacrosse and hockey," Noyes said.

Nearby workers are hoping to score Big Business.

"If they make it with a final four logo, we have it," Steve Sodell.

Sodell said he hasn't missed a Final Four championship and never misses a chance to get in on the action.

"We travel around the country and sell for the Final Four, Super Bowl, World Series -- all the big sports events," Sodell said.

Fan Fest is at the George R. Brown and starts Friday at noon. The music festivalis at Discovery Green and begins at 4 p.m.
