Thanks in advance. I missed the sign-up as well. I'm also looking to buy a Level 2 spot if anyone has one for sale. I really need the track time so I would even be interested in Level 1. I ride a Ninja 300 so laptimes are only 2:02, which means I can't ride in Level 3.
Thanks Lamont

2:01-2:03, still a few seconds shy of level 3 cut off.. Not in a hurry to get to level 3 then slow everyone down.

btw, awesome video you posted from CMRA practice, you and Enzo (sp?) were tearing it up out there!

You could probably ride in level 3 and just by rising in 3 drop your times down by seeing the faster guys. If you do end up going to three lemme know. I can show you where you can drop a few seconds quick

Thanks bro! I think that was S.d.w on here aka Will z on the HPC bike. Thank you though !

You could ride in L3. As long as you hold a decent line and are not all over the place and don't mind getting passed fast, you will learn much more there than circulating around in L2. I've been riding L3 /A for a while now. I'm on slow bike so get passed alot, but still have alot of fun. I'll be there this Sunday.

Thanks Oskar, I appreciate the vote of confidence. I agree that I will improve significantly being with the faster guys but I want to follow the Ridesmart protocol and get the official OK from an instructor following me. I don't want to be that guy that moves up on his own and there's an issue then we're all debating it in this forum the day after

I'm going to come out and get on the L2 standby list. It's going to be a beautiful day and I can't think of anything else better to do than be at the track, even if I don't get to ride..

And this logic is why level 3 is a nightmare. The cutoff at msrh should be 1:50, and you should be vouched for before the bump to 3. People over 2:00 have no business there.

I agree, especially when the talk of "I forgot to register and my level is full" comes up. The interwebs should be the last place where the decision of a person moving levels comes up.

I agree with you fully and Ride Smart L3 ceiling is already <2mins for MSRH; 2:12 for TWS (Texas World Speedway) (a 30 second gap considering many riders do 1:40s). I'm not in a hurry to move up! However L2 is getting crowded and can be a nightmare too. It is not uncommon to see multiple conga lines around the track with first time L2's paired with advanced L2's. Conga lines are dangerous as was discussed earlier this week where a L2 rider was following too close in a bunch up on T14 and knocked himself out; I was there, session was red-flagged and cost everyone track time--including L3.

See video below (from L2 TWS (Texas World Speedway) 3/26) for a conga example. No this is not S1 round robin, it was like this all day. The only solution I can think of is the 2A/2B group format like at COTA. It bridges the L2 advanced L3 rookie gap but I realize they can't justify that for the smaller events..

Fair statement. Full level should not be the decision for moving up. I stand corrected. I guess this is a wrong place to get into discussion like that.

But that's all this is; a discussion. We aren't going to change what happens on Sunday by having this discussion so it's not a big deal.
