'06 R6 all F$#cked up.

sprockets

I got an R6 06 . i want some more low end out of it. ordered a new front sprocket down 1 toooth. hadnt had a chance to try it yet but was just tryin too learn as much as possible, any advice would be appreciated.

your speedometer will be off by 5-10%. im down 1 in the front and up 2 in the back and my speedo is off by 15%. you can get a speedo healer through Motorcycles Unlimited for like $150 installed and calibrated.

your off 15%? im down one and up 7 and im only off 30%

The problem with most bikes is that the stock chain is only long enough to add 1 or maybe 2 teeth to the rear.

In my experience, you really won't experience any chain problems going down to as small as a 15T c/s sprocket.
14 will cause some issues, and on some bikes it will cause the chain to drag the swingarm / chain guide.
