sounds like he was just trying to hold it with his teeth and bit down too hard. I wonder what he looks like now!

Not sure why cops don't at least wear modular flip up helmets.

I talked to a retired CHP officer who was my motorcycle class teacher. I asked him the same question. His answer?

"We give up that part of our safety in order to get rid of anything that someone can grab. Where your head goes, your body will follow. We didn't want anyone gaining control over us."

Wow. Never would have thought of that.

I actually had a friend say that when he would get pulled over for a traffic stop he left his helmet, full face in this case, on. He said that if you took it off they would see it as you having a weapon in your hand.
I do not follow that advice. I always take my helmet of so they can see and hear me clearly.
