Sorry you felt that way, but if you "don't bother going to the classroom session" then it doesn't make much sense to argue that you didn't know who the instructors were or anything.

It's also possible that they are now addressing (w/in the past few trackdays) issues that occured earlier this year (probably one of the ones you attended).

I went to all the classroom sessions (even though I have done about 15 track days now) and I had 1-on-1 talks w/ the instructors, even had a whole session where I followed him around the track the entire time. Came back in the classroom, talked about it, etc.

ridesmart isn't THAT bad. I do prefer LSTD over Ride Smart b/c lstd is more organized and they seem to do a better job of limiting the number of riders per group. I've gotten equal amounts of useful instruction from both organizations. Just my .02 cents

I have been to 3 Ride Smart trackdays and the experience really varied. They have a few guys that are good. You have to hope they are in your group. I did my first TD last year with Ride Smart and did the last one with them in June. They have definitely gotten better about monitoring level 1. Still they have the problem of too many bikes on the track and I guess they always will.
I think Longhorn has a noob trackday this month?
Not to advertise, but a good first trackday would be with Elite Trackdays next month since they have small groups and high ratio of instructors to riders. The group 1 is very laid back and good learning pace.
Haven't ridden with LSTD yet but you can see here they have lots of testimonials to their effectiveness.
