Practice

Ok guys I,ve dealt with medical for years, Doctors,Transportation, Hospitals and have had enough.

In the automotive field I think I,m gonna open up a AUTOMOTIVE PRACTICE ****ers we actually have to fix not practice, everyone wants to get 10 different estimates and then choose the lowest price on their turds, In the medical field when u have a heart attack do you go get 10 estimates,NO u are just at the mercy of the people taking care of u and they will charge you whatever thay want to and if it fixes u then your lucky and if it doesent then they will still charge u and then maybe try 10 different things and still charge you for each thing, and if u die, oh well u was prolly gonna die anyway. And they call us thieves. They only work on 2 kinds Male and Female and some only work on 1 kind and then charge u extra for that, Hey patrick how long would we be in business if we just practiced? not long I bet. I guess i,ll quit ranting for now, still have a lot of stuff to say tho. But I will say there are a lot of not so honest people in this business and others as well, makes it hard for us that do take alot of pride in our work and only want a few pennies for compensation. Guess I,ll go for now. How do u guys feel about this subject, I,m sure alot of people have been taken advantage of before, BUT the doctors and whole medical field just are ****ing everybody and there insurance companies. and we all just keep on paying. Reading Godzukis thread got me to thinking and the medical bill that are also piling up for me about $50,000 for exactly 48 hours, and nothing wrong, ****ing bastards. I wish I made $1,000 an hour.

I have to agree. It's pretty ri-gawd--diculous!

~13 years ago my dads hospital stay was well over 300,000. Insurance finally dropped him. I guess there is a max. :dontknow:

You go to a ball game and pay 5 bucks for a 20oz coke that would cost you 1.20 at the local quickie mart. Hospitals do the same thing with tylenol at like 3+ bucks for 2. (don't try to tell me they are some special tylenol either :eh

I can understand some things are expensive if they are hard to manufacture or whatever. A friend of mine was hospitalized last year for a few months and they were giving him some magical exlir via injection twice a day at 600 bucks each.

Bah. I'll stop here before I bust a blood vessel and end up in the hellspital.

Tim, sounds like you're having one of my kind of days!:laughing6

I know what you mean, you quote allegedly apples to apples, and the other shop blows you away.
Only later do you and the customer find out that they put in a used part but charged for new, or didn't do everything they said they would. Doesn't help us out much after the fact.

Or, how about the guys who are "playing" at having a shop / store, selling parts at 5% or less above cost, because they don't have to pay things like insurance, employees, taxes, etc., don't get me started.
It makes it real difficult to try to provide a good living for our and our employees families.

The only thing I can offer as a little solace is that once most people see through the b.s. and realize that you're offering a quality job at a fair price, they'll keep coming back.

Now, as far as how I feel about most doctors? Don't even go there!!

I believe in competition, not comunism. The problem with the hospital system is, we have to pay for all the non-payers. What is the automotive industries excuse?
