Trust us... we would prefer more weekend events as well. The issue is different with both TWS (Texas World Speedway) and The Motorsport Ranch.

TWS (Texas World Speedway) will not allow you to break up a Saturday/Sunday. You must rent the ENTIRE weekend. We are able to the get the occassional weekend (single day) if a car club or something cancels, but that's it.

MSR is a membership based track... and all weekends are reserved for members there.

When we start going to Eagle's Canyon, it would be nice to get some weekend dates there, but I think their structure is basically going to be like MSR.

I bet if motorcycle track day organizers and car track day organizers would work together, they could put on more weekend days for everyone.
It works out great at the LMS days with us sharing the track with the cars 50/50.
The past few years I've had to use most of my vacation days to do any LSTD or ridesmart events. I miss riding the other tracks with great peeps from those orgs., but I made up my mind that if it's not on a weekend, it's not worth it. Thats my .02 anyways.

The difference being that Houston has an agreement with their members to do that. When car clubs rent the track, they bring a lot of cars out and fill the whole time on the track.

When we rent the track, we fill the entire time on the track. We would have to cut 2/3rds of the participants if we shared the track, and so would the car guys. The car guys sell out for the entire weekend, and run the whole time on both days. Why would they want to give up their time to share with motorcyclists?

Maybe if there was a pre-paid sell out of an entire weekend, maybe LSTD could schedule one next year. My hunch is that a Saturday/ Sunday event would only fill about 50%. Many times, unless it's a race weekend, at the end of the season we don't sell out track day events for one day.

Moody had a great idea, send your critique and suggestions to LSTD, they like to hear from their customers to improve the track day experience.

Have you seen car owners? They are very rich with their exotic cars, Formula Mazda or F2000 cars... Racing, especially car racing is a very gentlemen's sport... , I will be superly happy if I can afford to do a F2000 race! Those things are hawt!

What is IRRC?

NPR only has either Sat or Sun... not worth the trip for me... I prefer to do Sat and Sun for the trip to be worthwhile for me... That's why I choose to do Hallett...

There's another Sat and Sun trackday at West Texas/NM... but boy the drive is far... very far!

Who puts on the TD at Hallet? I would like to see a schedule. I don't mind driving especially if we're talking 2 day rides.

Hallett does their own track day the day before the CMRA event. There are a couple of more organizations the do track days up there as well. Unfortunately, LSTD, does not.
