Need advice on 2016 GSX S1000

Hi folks,

So I am in the process of buying a naked bike, the decision was between a 2014 Honda CB1000 and 2016 GSX S1000 ABS. Not big of a price difference at the end of the deal.

What are you thoughts about the new 2016 Gixxer S1000 ABS...

No byrdman, I had a 919 before so didn't cross my mind to go lower on power.

U might want to research the power thing. The 919 is old technology compared to the FZ09 triple. Its really not about power as much as it is the fueling, torque and in the motor. I know nothing about the CB1000 or GSXS1000 because they are bland and dont peak my interest.

I test rode a FZ09 was almost oulled the trigger until I found a deal on a Speed Triple 1050.

I love Suzuki, but the Z1000 is when comparing style. Either way, your not going to notice significant differences unless you are tracking it. I would sit on a few and see where my tush is most comfortable

Plus 1 for the speed triple. It should be on your potential list, at the top in my opinion. The Suzuki is hard for me to look at.

They were one of the first to put out a modern naked bike. The triple pulls like a train too.

If you can get the Suzuki with ABS for $8699 then you should buy it ASAP because I know where you can get a 2014 CB1000R (no ABS) for that price.

I'm not a fan of naked bikes but I do like the looks of this one.
Can you say Optimus Prime?

Left over CB1000 are everywhere on cycletrader. Good prices too, the GSX looks awesome, but a speed triple can be found quite cheap used.

I paid less for a Ducati Streetfighter 848, less than two years old. 70 lb-ft of torque in a ~400# bike. Came with exhaust, tail tidy, sliders, and bar end mirrors.

I am looking for reliability..comfort and ongoing cost. CB1000R and gixxer S1000 are the closest so far. Going to test ride one next weekend and see which one I go with.

I sat on the speed triple, don't like the position as it is little bit crouched as I little bit more sit up.
