Men vote for Humberside airport to be renamed after Guy Martin
Guy Martin International Airport its got a ring to it
MEN living in and around Guy Martin’s local area of Grimsby believe Humberside airport should be renamed after the popular TT racer and presenter, according to a poll undertaken by an airport parking and hotels website.
Prior to it becoming a city of culture next year, Holidayextras.com conducted a poll to find out which local hero local people would want to see Humberside Airport in Kirmington named after in order to raise its profile.
With 11 per cent of the overall votes, Guy Martin came out as the second most popular choice (behind poet Philip Larkin) and the preferred choice among men who took part in the poll.
Currently there are no plans to rename the Humberside airport after Martin. So, who's going to get the campaign started?
