Child Support = Legalized Theft?

In my work I've seen many women who abuse child support and use the money for everything else except the child's wellbeing and expenses. Instead of sending money direct to the parent to use on anything they wish, it should only pay for items that will directly benefit the kid like childcare, private school tuition, clothes, school supplies.

Instead I see the baby mommas waiting on that check to pay their car note, their other baby daddy's car note, manicure & pedicures, that new Coach purse. Seems like it has changed from child support to my baby's momma support.

BTW I am w/o child and don't pay child support but see the system being abused in a big way. Anybody else see this going on?

see it all the time. it's a shame women can't stop digging through a man's wallet even when they're not together any longer.

happens to my best friend, he pays his child support, he gets the boy every other weekend,

the mother still calls him up and ask him if he has any extra diapers at his house, she drives 15min to get diapers because she does not have money to buy the boy some.

Worked a job at Slick a while back and see a group of about 6 women drinking it up. She orders a round of Patron shots and toasts "to her child support check" for buying all the drinks for her girls.

I vomited a little in my mouth at that point.

one of my friends got divorced about four years ago, she won their girls custody, and he got screwed so bad, because in addition to paying child support, he agreed to pay all the girl's medical expenses, and the ex wife will literally take the little girl every chance she get's, for " check ups" ....poor guy works two jobs just to survive and pay for everything.

i know what you mean, im going through it no till our case is a final done deal, i pay 520.00 a month in child support for my son, and its kida jacked up because our family law system is all jacked up,
this is how i see it
a guy who wants custody of his child and take care of him has to go through all this court , home studies, and visitation on certain days and times, gets all this hassel from the court:
then as to a a guy that dont want the responsibility to take care of his child gets the shaft right away to pay support.
im the one who wants to take the responsibility to raise my son. so im getting all this beef about me wanting to be a dad. shouldnt it be the other way around? just my thoughts i must say our court system sucks in texas when it comes to family law.

The system is retarded.

How about that one guy that was ordered to pay child support and a DNA test shows the child is not even his. :dontknow: :BangHead:

The girl lied to him, and the judge said he waited too long to appeal.. FUGG THAT! I'd feel bad for the kid, but I'd go to jail before I gave the mom any more money.

i know a (literally) that gets a child support check for her son that lives with his friends, and give him NONE of it. he is 15 and supports his self b/c he hates that . and she gets a SS check for her nephew that lives with my brother, he is 17, and he sees none of that money. they both live in katy and those checks go to her and her BF in Louisianna. she took the 17 y/o out of foster care after both his parents went to prison, now she lives off both those checks, well her and her BF live off them.

ill be paying $480 a month, thats $480 to a woman, that lives with her mother, makes her money off the system ( I.E. welfare, food stamps ) has no job, and no care to even look for a job.

yeah, the system is ****ed up, and if i want to go for full custody, it will easily be 5-10 grand in lawyer and court fees. and even though she is a dead-beat, the court almost always, sides with the mother.

im just happy i finally get to see my son.
