Anyone ridden the BIG LOOP in the SHNF since it reopened?

What do you think of the BIG LOOP? I attached a video of the start from the south side of it.

We had one guy ride with us last time, I told him to not ride alone.. I think his name is Curt. He Told me about a pretty useful app called View Ranger which has a feature called buddy beacon.
This way, John can keep an eye on what trail I am on just by looking at his app and if I get into trouble or Deb or I get stuck, he and Steve will know where to find us.
It runs off gps not cell signal which is a bonus because my service is spotty in the forest.

Actually looks a little wide for my tastes. But I'm more into trail poking versus woods racing. I hope it doesn't cause an invasion of quads out there now.

I agree, I hope it doesn't become a quad hang out. I actually like it a lot, there are a lot of tight twisty and woodsy turns that you have to get through to actually get to this section so it sort of changes it up a bit...Plus it's all heavy sand which is fun at a faster speed.

Lisa, I'm waiting to get SilverBullet out to the trails so we can see who's the better at poking down the trails.......he just joined ODODB. BTW, Curt's got all kinds of gadgets and whistles. I always figured if I rode alone, the buzzards will find me before anyone else, and if that's the case, I probably wouldn't care anyway. But, best solution is, don't ride alone out there.

Yes Jimmy, it's the best groomed trail in the SHNF right now. Fast straights, tight sections, some sand, some dirt, some ruts (few), and some really fun trails to ride.

Trails are already closed so don't think that will change this weekend. Maybe time for a Dual Sport ride?

We hit the S. Loop last weekend. Fantastic trail! Weather was great. Unfortunately, all the trails will be closed for at least a week due to the heavy sustained rains. It takes a while for every section to dry up enough for the Rangers to open.

You gotta choose a better line, I would have pinned it and gone right through the middle
