Hayabusa Recall....

Any of you guys with Hayabusas that fall under the regulator/rectifier recall find a way around having the dealership do the work? Ive heard of some in other states having dealerships just get them the parts, but not perform the work. Ive called two dealerships here in the Houston area, and both require me to bring the bike there before they order the part, and then leave it until the part comes in (best ive heard was a week). Since I refuse to take the bike to Tomball Suzuki, Im pretty limited. Just figured id see if anybody had a hookup before I have to trailer the thing up to Conroe for a week....

How about if you buy a replacement and take the old one to the dealer and tell them that you need another.
Show them the Title and or insurance to prove that is yours... it would not work like that?
If they accept that you could turn around a sell it back to the public but in the other hand I would keep it as long as you own the bike.

Try Stubbs, call texmex1 and see if he can get you the hookup

But my guess is no, they won't just give you the part

We can't just give you the parts because suzuki wants the old ones back. Call Stubbs and see if we have any in stock, if not you can give Joe your information and he can order you one. We have been trying to keep some in stock but they go pretty quick.

I ended up taking it to Cycle Shack where I bought it....they ordered the part and called me when it came in so I could drop the bike off. They were pretty swamped, but they had the bike back to me early Saturday morning (dropped it off at closing on Thursday)
