WSB 2016 Championship standings after Phillip Island
The Championship standings after the first round of the 2016 season
REIGNING World Champion Jonathan Rea heads up the Championship standings after the first round of the 2016 World Superbike season after a double win in Phillip Island.
It is no surprise that Isle of Man resident Rea is at the top of the standings with 50-points whilst Honda rider Michael van der Mark is in second with 36-points.
Chaz Davies leaves Phillip Island with only 26-points after crashing out of race two whilst fighting for the lead from Rea. Rea's team-mate Tom Sykes is currently in sixth with 21-points as if Sylvain Guintoli whilst MotoGP legend Nicky Hayden is in seventh on-board his Honda with 20-points.
