what's the best & cheapest way to ship a bike to north california.

I just got station in petaluma, Ca. and left my bike in houston, trying to get it here. I heard to creat it up and fedex or ups it freight. I saw some bike movers on the net. Any help would be appreciated. I'm about 50 miles and/or a hour north of San Francisco.

I second Forward Air. They have ALWAYS been cheapest when I've needed to freight anything.

Good luck!

I thought if fly down and pick up my bike and ride it to save money. Then I figured I would have a iron a$. After the miles, I would have to get some tires, service, plus a funny walk after about 1900 miles or so.

yeah, forward air. i've had some experience with them as well. great company. fast service. schedule ahead, and you'll be just fine. they have crates already as well, just bring the bike, some straps, and a padlock.

Eagle or Land Air Express
