rant: i hate houston streets

well the other night i hit a pothole ~40 or so and i was like eh , i didnt pop a tire and from the outside the rim looked fine, but i was still

the past few days my starts to shake a bit ~70 , i take it to discount today ....

BOTH rims on the right side are bent ...

pothole > asantis
id take pics but they said its on the inside of the rim

sabs rim repair here i come

i have insurance on my rims so im debating, pay 500 and get a new set of 4, gotta find out if my rates will go up. plus id want to keep my rims if i did claim them not sure if they would let me
OR
pay 2-300 and get sabs to fix them w/o dealing with insurance hassle

and what was the reason why you cant make the city pay for car repairs when stuff like this happens cause ive seen WAY too many threads on the streets dominating peoples cars

/end rant

Man sorry to hear that man... Houston streets suck!! I mean take the stretch of Kirby in the Village for example... Those roads are hella fawked and yet its in a decent part of town. I think the locals in that area keep it that way for a reason because the second you go over 40 you're in for a bumpy ride!! Oh wells...

+1 to SABS..... great place.

take them and get them fixed not worth the chance of insurance rate hike plus the $500. I know there is a rim shop here that can fix them probably for about $100-150 each that is still less than the $500 deductable.

Well when I got my bike rim fixed, it cost $115 with the whole wheel stripped. No tire or bearings. Not sure how much they charge for a car wheel but I doubt the price is raised a considerable amount.
