Logon Issues

I know the site has gone through some changes, so please take this as assistance with troubleshooting and not as whining...

When I pull up the page, despite having checked the "remember me" box and having cookies enabled (IE 6.0.2900), the site asks me to log in. I do, then it says that I'll be redirected - but the page it returns me to does not have me logged in and instead asks me to log in again. If I click on the link instead of waiting for the redirect, I get the same result.

Once landing on that second page without visible signs of me being logged in, I can click on "Todays Posts" and it loads a page that shows I am logged in (upper right "Welcome Squeaky") and I am now able to use the "New Posts" option based on my last login.

Oh - and while you're doing all the upgrades and making changes...

Any chance you can copy the tool bar at the top and place it at the bottom as well? Real easy to browse the forums by scrolling through a post, getting to the bottom, and clicking on NEW POSTS again instead of having to scroll back up to the top.

What about adding some of the more commonly used tools to the quick reply box at the bottom? Bold/italic/underline, font size/color, favorite smileys, insert link, insert pic.

(yes, other forums have me spoiled)

Well I can't log out! I click the log out button and it reads that I have logged out, but the next time I click the MH icon it logs me back in! Normally, I wouldn't care but Tim and I use the same computer and when he clicks the MH icon on our front page it logs me in and messes up the New Post feature. How can I log out? I never had this problem tell here in the last few days!

Some settings were changed, I had the same issue.

Clear your cookies in your browser and log back in. That SHOULD fix it, let me know.

If I'm logged in and I close my browser (without logging out), then come back in a few minutes I'm prompted to login again (this is fine). I enter my UID and PWD, the 'Welcome to MH, Denhou1974' message is displayed ... then I'm taken back to the login page again where all of the threads are locked.

I can get around it if I click on my UID in the member list. If I do that then I'm taken to my profile page as if I'm logged in. The site will work normally after that.

Log out, Go to the top of your screen, click tools, internet options, delete cookies, delete files, and clear history, then log out of web. Get back on and start fresh and see if that clears it.

I have no login or out issues, thanks much!
