Daily Craig: Not much happened

The dreaded NBA trade deadline has passed and basically it was dead. ALL Those leaving your current team for another please step forward. Not so fast Howard. For some wacky reason thousands thought Dwight leaving the Rockets would be a good thing. I don't get it. Trading a guy still recovering from what must have been the worst back surgery in history is what happened. I guess they wanted at least one back up center who could put on a uniform and play a few minutes. The other Rocket who got sent to Detroit wasn't much to write home about either. Given the improvement of the Clippers and the constant of the Warriors and Spurs the Rockets should just settle for being the league's biggest flop.

I REMEMBER the Rockets shopping Dream before he settled into the best he could be. When T MAC came here the team promised another title run. Same thing when they somehow got YAO MING. 10 BILLION Chinese and they got the one with bad feet. Trades or lucky draft picks don't make you a champ. It helps when the players you currently have all pull their load. The Beard has given us lots of points and even more grief.. I, for one, miss the post game beer belches from Kevin. He told ESPN yesterday the whole truth. "Dwight isn't the problem in Houston, but he isn't the solution either".

It's almost March and some fans still don't get it. THE ROCKETS were over hyped and have played like they are Sacramento Now let's hope that isn't catching on in baseball. There are way too many predictions of the Astros winning the AL West. Please, this is Houston, and we aren't used to people liking our chances.
