Score one for the Good Guys

Justice prevails.

Man on stolen motorcycle leads police on chase
(7/19/07 - KTRK/HOUSTON) - Police were busy on the north side chasing after a speeding motorcycle rider.

Officers first tried to pull the cyclist over after catching him speeding on the North Freeway. He took off, and at one point made a U-turn going the wrong direction on the freeway. The cyclist was finally taken into custody after crashing on Airline at a police roadblock.

The motorcycle turned out to be stolen. The suspect was also a registered offender.

why did the report call him a cyclist? He wasn't on a bicycle.

ya, but wouldnt it be cool to have gotten the check and get to have the bike back too? you could make into a trackbike, stuntbike, part it out...

though somehow i am thinking if you get a check for a stolen bike, and its recovered wouldnt the insurance company get to have it? after all they paid for it.

...unless they didn't have theft insurance, then i bet they'd take back whatever they could get their hands on. that's what I did after I repo'ed my old bike that I financed a guy on (and he obviously stopped paying me). Now I have a true 'rat bike'
