Question So what are people buying and looking at these days in the showroom?

So I got bored and started looking at the latest bikes available and curious what are people interested in anymore?

Stopped into a few places and saw the new H2, ZX10R, S1000RR, R1, etc. and just got me thinking based on prices these days...

So if you are actively shopping, what are you eyeing?

If you're talking no cost limit, what are you eyeing?

Something that is not so single minded. Took me 10+ years to figure out sportbikes are boring on the streets of Houston or Texas for that matter.
Dual sports, supermotos, adventure bikes and dirt bikes are pretty much what interests me. They can play multiple roles and are better suited for this area of the US.

Im checking out all the KTM's right now. The adventure is on the list too, but the front end/light area isnt appealing to me at all..

Its pretty comfy. A lot of folks get the upgraded aftermarket seat but I have no issues with mine. 6.1gal tank can net u a tad under 200 mil range if ur footin it. This bike is fast...its nimble for such a big bike and doesnt feel its weight at all. Can power wheelie 1-3 and clutch up the rest. Electronic suspension is the . Rear preload on the fly electronically. The fuel mapping is spot on and there is hardly any bad fueling spots in the throttle. I say KTM hit a homerun on this bike. Riding itnto Big Bend and back at the end of march. Once I get back tye knobbies are coming off and the street tires are going back on so I can some ppl off in Level 2 trackdays

That 1290 Super Duke is amazing! Was really a fun bike to ride, but it does need a windscreen imo. I also stopped by to bs with my buddy at Houston Motor sports today and saw the H2 that they just got in. That thing is moto- at its finest. Sitting right next to the POS rc8 they can't get rid of, lol.

Oh, im going out there. Me and nastynesto. He works with me and weve been working a bunch of hours. This trip also depends on solracer letting me borrow his trailor. There are many variables but its going to happen.

I'd probably either get the new S1000rr or the new ZX10R.. The 10r is supposed to be a monster.. 190rwhp stock after a flash.

I also like the theory of the H2, but it's just too ugly for me...I can't get around it. I like the fact it's physically sized in between a liter bike and hypersport... Best of both worlds for us old with achey joints and backs.

That's kind of what I figured as well..

The H2 is $26k and by the time you do bolt-on's and goodies you're at $32-34k+.

Am I the only one that feels like a Gorilla riding a liter bike these days? They just seem so darn small anymore.
