Looking for parts 1986 ninja

What's up. I'm in the process of resurrecting a 1986 kawasaki ninja 1000r. It's been sitting for about 25 years. I've rebuilt and cleaned the carbs, tune up, and tried to clean the gas tank. It will run if I bypass the tank and petcock. Runs pretty good. So basically I'm seeing if anybody has a gas tank or petcock or both. I know it's a long shot. I've already ordered 3 petcock rebuild kits from different sites and they were all the wrong parts. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try. www.z1enterprises.com

Also, believe it or now, I was able to get a petcock rebuild kit from a Kawasaki dealer for a reasonable price.

Lots of helpful folks on.

www.kawasakipartshouse.com is good if you need to find a part number. There prices are high but I get the part number for what I need and find it somewhere else cheaper.

That website has a petcock for $70. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully I can get this bad boy back on the road

Well, hopefully welcome to the 1986 ninja club, I have a 86 250r. Nice retro styling is a refreshing change of pace from the monotony of modern designs.

Oh and I once ground down a diaphragm from the newer style of petcock to make it fit the petcock on mine. Not sure if the 1000 has the same plunger incompatibility that I was seeing.
