Good day. Second track day for me, I went from 2:02-2:03 last time to 1:55-1:56 in traffic. Not bad. I think it's about time to get a dedicated track bike and quit running a street triple with street rubber...

Today turned out to be a fantastic day! I didn't see or hear about many flags. The crash truck stayed somewhat busy, but the sessions kept going. Props to our track marshal today for giving us plenty of seat time. Just about everyone that I saw in lvl3 stayed pretty well behaved. Not the usual crazies we get at the season opener.

There was at least one crazy in the Level 3 group, the good news is he won't be attending any Ridesmart events ever again

The day definitely got interesting towards the last couple sessions, but it could have been much worse. The track marshal was definitely focused on keeping you guys out on the track regardless of the circumstances!

i didnt ride the first session, 2nd session i went out there were a lot of people in level 3 that shouldnt have been there and i dont mean just pace. i mean they had no idea where the line was. super sketch. but each session got better and better, they def got rid a lot of those guys quick.

i hadnt ridden in a long time, and especially msrh. its been several months. lap timer didnt work but i felt pretty good. going to need a little more track time though before the first race next weekend.

Now I'm curious, was it someone that signed up for level 3 because level 2 was full?

Glad you guys enjoyed it, weather was perfect. I learned my lesson and booking 3 weeks in advance from now on..

That's a great time for 2nd track day. I've been 20+ track days, keith code school, dedicated track bike, slicks, etc. and still can't break 2mins. Didn't inherit the fast gene.

They'll move you to level 3 in no time if you're not there already.

The instructor said it was at my discretion whether or not I wanted to move up. I think I'll probably do another level 2 day to work on braking points (barely touched my brakes at all except coming down pit straight). I wanna get out of the meat grinder level 2 but I also don't want to be a bother to anyone in level 3.

What did you do (or do differently) that got you to the next level?

Made sure all my equipment was good. Meaning set up for me and I trusted it. Got the lines down. Twisted the throttle

The lines are definitely important, I think that goes for all tracks not just one. Some people may be able to turn Level 3 times out at MSRH but send them to ECR or Cresson and they could be middle of the pack Level 2.

If you are a true level 3 rider you will be in level 3 times after two sessions on a brand new track that you have never been on.
