That's because normal people can afford regular track days.

It's so packed because it's last weekend before CMRA races following weekend.

That and it's the first track day down here this year. It's always a full house.

If that's the case then lvl3 would have sold out first. I think it's just the first TD of the year and people with day jobs are anxious to get out there.

The minis are becoming a bigger deal in the CMRA now than the big bikes. I'm never surprised that L2 sells out first, now it's just going to sell out that much faster.

Yah also for level 2 you've got the mini racers combined with the intermediate riders. Sells out quick! Level 3 is your fast experienced riders and racers. Less of those out there

That and decent lines. If you can consistently hit the lines and be under 2 you should be good

, I'm at 2:03 and lines still need work, hoping to get to level 3 this year, but need every level 2 track day I can get.

Are minis only allowed in level 2 even if you're an advanced rider/racer? What's the correlation?

They are worried about closing speeds at the end of straights

Even if you are a racer/advanced minis are only allowed in 2. Closing speeds are too great on these tx tracks

This

But I understand there are some faaaast mini guys out there capable of level 3 times. Just hard to police and the liability is too great so we just made it a rule

Instead you have level 2 riders on liter bikes coming up behind ULW bikes while still doing 165.

Personally I'd rather have a level 3 rider coming up behind me and a big closing speed rather than a level 2 rider.
