I think it's going to come down to when there the guy in the truck FELT like he was in danger or not.

But that truck of rednecks is full of wins!

And there it is! the reason for any discussion about guns, when any and every f@*king can own a gun.

I'm a new biker, and I thought bikers watch for each other.

Assault or attempted assault?? I agree it was unnecessary to pull a gun but come on lets be honest. The dude has 10 plus bikers flipping him off and then this genius thinks it's a good idea to pull on the other side of him?? Like I said, not defending the dude but can you honestly say that having them talking on both sides isn't "surrounding" him or the least bit threatening?? Granted flipping him the bird doesn't mean they want to harm or kill him, but it sure doesn't mean hi neighbor, let me buy you dinner tonight either.

Assault = threat. It does not mean physical contact, that's a battery.

The dude in the red truck inserted himself into the situation. He was at the way some of them were riding and when one of the riders flipped off the black SUV.

What he did was unreasonable under the law and illegal, period.

This guy pulled a gun when his life was not in danger. End of story. He will get charges for it.

There is no debate about this.. either you understand or you dont.

YOU DO NOT PULL A FIREARM UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO PULL THE TRIGGER

Ok that's correct and I'll give you that

But inserted? He inserted himself on a public road? He came to a stop light and was forced to stop?? The motard guy inserted himself where he didn't need to. He changed his path to drive and confront the guy.. Soo I'm not fighting you on the law and whatever charges he will face. The chevy guy didn't follow or pursue the guys.

He inserted himself into the situation by interacting with the riders, before the dude knocked on the passenger window, by rolling down his window and starting a verbal confrontation. He should have called 911 or minded his own business. It's pretty simple really.

EXACTLY!

ESPECIALLY when carrying a firearm. You are responsible for anything that happens if you happen to help escalate the problem.

This is why some people are better off skipping the CHL class. If you aren't going to take the time to understand your responsibilities why bother

He was boxed in behind/side other cars as well as guys on bikes surrounding him on both sides. A lawyer could say he was threatened. I know if I was on a bike and cars did that to me and started getting out of them to have a conversation, I would feel threatened. I think this is a case were bikers are standing up for other bikers because, well bike. Do I think it was justified, no, but I can see where from a legal standpoint, it may be proven justified. Having said that, I don't know the local laws for Nevada. I know they do not allow CHL in the city of Las Vegas without police approval though.

Pretty sure that truck could have eased any of those bikes out the way if they were indeed obstructing him. That's much more reasonable than rolling down your window and pointing a gun at someone's face with your finger on the trigger.

The driver had his window down first while they were in motion. If you feel threatened, a reasonable person does not roll down their window.

Ok, no one stated he did. He started a verbal confrontation instead of calling 911 or minding his own business.
