He doesnt seem to understand the laws associated with gun ownership. Hopefully he is a felon and this takes care of his for a while

Seriously though. Why would you stop and tap on his window? All of this could have been avoided by rolling on the throttle. I have a cager try to "communicate" with me almost on a daily basis. I don't stick around to see if they want to be friends.

Perhaps the pack mentality got to the guy videoing? Perhaps he wanted to show his buds how bad he was? Perhaps he made a mistake

I mean, the guy admitted it was a bad decision.. what else do you want

Don't disagree with any of your points. Hindsight we always have the opportunity to point out mistakes, embarrassing or not. I don't see anything wrong with that especially if the involved party as well as others learn from them. That's all I am trying to do.

I always want to stop and chat with motorist while riding. Honestly riding just isn't full fulling enough sometimes you just can't beat a good conversation.

I think if anyone should learn anything from this should be:

Friends don't let friends carry firearms ignorantly

Seriously though, I agree it is a huge mistake that could have proved fatal. I would hope that it's common sense not to go around knocking on motorists windows. Especially some crazy hillbillies that are obviously trying to start .

This happened in Las Vegas. Irving PD probably doesn't have jurisdiction.

These days you are asking for it to run up and knock on a truck window like that.

I was thinking that to myself as well...I saw Henderson and I was looking at the desert landscape and said this isn't East Texas Henderson....I was puzzled but didn't dig into it.

If he has a CHL his punishment will be worse. The dude even has his finger on the trigger while trash talking. That could of been a bad deal.

There is a post on the YellowBullet forum where a member had some driver tripping out on him. Tried running him off of the road and stuff, he called police and was telling them about the driver, met with police and they ended up taking him to jail, the other guy had called the police and reported him, even mentioned that he saw a gun (which he says he did not display or anything), since he was a CHL holder he was instantly guilty, went to jail and spent a load defending his innocence.

Exactly what I thought, I'm reading through this whole thread like seriously?? Granted pulling his gun wasn't the right the decision, but the motard guy was definitely an asshat too. I'm not defending the driver of the truck, but seriously the guy is obviously and felt threatened to some point. Although not enough in my eyes to have pulled a gun. Granted that still, why go poke the bear with a stick?? I wont go internet badass on anyone cos honestly I'm no badass, but tapping on my car alone is enough to me the off if I'm honest. Not to mention I'm sure they were riding like idiots. Just ride away next time.

He is not in trouble. Irving PD also reports this did not happen in Irving and also there is no associated complaint so they are not able to file charges.

However "that does not mean we wont have a conversation with the gentleman"

There has to be more to the video. If you look at 28sec-45 you'll see the orange bike then he pulls behind the truck then flips him off while the truck turns.

I think it's going to come down to when there the guy in the truck FELT like he was in danger or not.

But that truck of rednecks is full of wins!

In danger of what, being cursed at or shown an obscene gesture? He was inside a truck and the passenger didn't have to roll down the window. Unless someone on a bike displayed a weapon it is totally unreasonable to assault a rider with a deadly weapon which is exactly what the driver did.
