Thumbs up Test Ride

Test rode this Zero today. It's a fun bike with a surprising amount of acceleration.

Nice, those things sound cool in the videos. Could you hear the wine while you were riding?

What would you compare the surprising amount of acceleration to that we might be able to identify with? Ninja 250,DRZ400,CBR600?

I'd say at least a 600. They claim 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds.

I know I speak for everyone on this forum, but we are all gravely worried about you. Maybe I am mistaken, but you must not have realized that the Zero IS NOT A HONDA !!! Have you lost your mind? I cannot imagine your getting down in the gutter like that. I always thought you were the most die-hard Honda man going, but now I am beginning to wonder.

Seriously, I'll bet the bike was very fun to ride. Like the old saying goes "It is more fun to ride a less powerful bike hard, than to ride a more powerful bike easy". Sorry if I got carried away with the jabbing.

How was the test ride process at gulf coast? Some dealers are very accommodating, others are a pain in the to get a test ride. Wild west and Honda off 290 were easy to deal with, Polaris west was a major pain. Won't be going back there.

First, a Zero rep sent me an email invitation for a demo. I replied with a date and time, he forwarded my request to Gulf Coast. I showed up with my license and insurance, they rolled out the demo bike and sent me on my demo ride.

Depending on how you ride, they said you can easily go 120 miles on a charge. The bike does have three modes: Sport, Economy, and Custom.

Typical charge times can range anywhere from a couple hours to overnight. See the “specs” section of any motorcycle model on this website for detailed information on estimated charge times.

They need to go harder on the styling for that price. Looks too much like that entry level Buell... And that seat...

Even ugly electric cars are expensive to manufacture.
