Yes. Getting a running start on the pavement and once you hit the sand never let off the throttle.

Well I was trying to be nicer than that. Lol. However I did mention to another in a PM that someone riding an XRR was crying the entire ride but I'm not mentioning names.

FYI, Adam's bike was in sumo trim but I think he had dirt tires mounted. A KTM 950/990 with knobbies turned around after one mile but a Versys 650 with street tires made the ride down to Sabine Pass without a dump. Just reinforces the old saying, rider not bike.

Not sure what bike I'll ride. Either my Husky dual sport or Super Tenere with dirt tires. Depends on which is ready to roll that weekend.

He had knobbies on. In his defense he was a noob in off-road at the time. Now he can actually keep up, he just likes to take lots of breaks, or "picnics" as some people call them.

Can't believe it's been 5 months already. This thing coming up quick. Can't wait! Non-super route fosho. Had my Sena 20S stolen for the second time the other day (first one was stolen off my front porch when it was delivered+house was burgalerized, second one was stolen when my car was broken into), guess I'm gonna have to buy a third one quickly so my wife and I can chat on the ride. Was going to hold off for a while.
